FAQs
Q. What are the time and location of the co-op?
A. Forging Paths Homeschool Co-op currently meets at the First Christian Church in Hermiston. Classes are 9:30-12:40 with lunch and fellowship from 12:45-1:15pm.
Q. Who needs a background check?
A.
All teachers and assistants in the classroom must have a background check completed through Forging Paths Homeschool Co-op. No exceptions.
If you are going to be absent, your spouse may take your place for the day and fill in for your assigned classes. This requires planning ahead; contact the Director as soon as you know your spouse will be filling in for you.
In last-minute situations (for example, last-minute illness), your spouse may bring your children to Co-op. However, he/she will not be able to teach or assist in the classroom if a background check has not already been done; in such case, you will still need to make arrangements for someone else to sub for you.
If you would like a background check to be completed for your spouse “just in case” (you don’t have a specific date that he/she will be coming, but would like to be ready in case it happens) this can be done at your expense (typically $15).
Other adults besides your spouse, with prior approval from the Board, may bring your children to Co-op and fill in for you. A background check must be completed in advance, at your cost (typically $15). Please plan ahead accordingly.
